I know that I have been away and haven't been posting very often.
I have to say a lot of it is b/c I don't really know what to post about sometimes so I just don't.
Well...this maybe another one of those posts..which will surely end in a poem from my fav. But I can give everyone a little update about what's what.
I am no longer a commuter, which will take a lot of stress off my shoulders. Commuting is horrible and I really started to hate it this last year. It was time to say good-bye to working in Greeley. Not that I won't see my friends every once in a while. I mean I love the people I worked with, but we won't get into anything else about it.
I was able to hang out last night with Heat and Les. We had a blast, we went to go hear a live band (which I hadn't done in a long time). I must say it was a successful Ladies Night Out.
It is really all small news from here. The day today was absolutely lovely. Reminded me of why I love living here so much.
Steph you have no idea...I will show you everything if you are able to come out this fall....you won't want to go back to Indiana (hehehehehe)
Anyhow....so I am now finishing this post days later, it is May 25th to be exact.
I have not had the best internet connection lately...so that is going to be my excuse for not posting.
Look for more in the next couple days.
To all my friends....much love.

Who's That Over There?

Oh my gosh I can't believe that it has been that long since I last posted. My goodness where does the time go? Oh yeah sleeping and working...curious how that happens.
Well I am taking a break right now, to post a little something and I am quite excited about having some time to myself.
Gabe just got back from Indiana, which was really nice.
I was a little lonely w/o him here. I know that sounds so girly, but hey I am a girl.
I hope that everyone out there is having a good week so far. Mine is a little less stressful then past ones have been. I just need a vacation, maybe somewhere like Tahiti would be nice right now. Sandy beaches, pina coladas, and sun-bathing. Sounds like the perfect vaca to me.
My week has been progressing nicely. We shall see if it keeps looking up.
I am ready for the dreary days to end...rain and cloudy skies are no fun.

Working to Much=Sleep Deprivation
So I am not ignoring anyone who has called or emailed me recently. I have been more busy than I think I ever have.I am working all the time now...I mean I am working to very full days tomorrow and Thursday.
So this is an advance apology to all my friends. Oh and this is also I little FYI for the idiot that thinks my life is sad.
Piss off is all I have to say.
Anyway...I hope that everyone out there had a happy Easter. I had to work (of course) and deal with the rude people who are always out on any holiday.
I don't really have a whole lot to say...I just wanted my friends out in the great wide world to know that I am not purposely not talking to them. Sleep is my best friend right now.
Cheers to everyone out there and hopefully I will be back to normal work hours in a week or so.
Steph I miss you and am insanely jealous that Gabe gets to see you and I don't. What the heck!!!!!

Wish I saw Cherry Blossoms

With the coming of spring, my melancholy lifts.
I am not a cold weather girl, I can almost feel the song of my soul lamenting.
I have always enjoyed the first warm days of the year.
They make me feel so alive and joyous.
Today is such a day and what makes if even better is being able to enjoy it by being outside.
I am not right now, but I will be right after this post.
Here is a poem that I read this morning that struck a chord with me.

How many times now
have I crossed over the hill crests
with the image

Thank You CrapHeads

So I have been thinking about it, and Gabe is right.
I am not going to give you people what you want. If you do end up posting something negative I will be deleting it, esp. if you don't tag your name on.
I don't want someone bringing my day down b/c that is how they feel better about themselves.
So please in the future at least put a name on your insult on my life or don't post at all. It isn't fair that you can insult me behind the wall of anonymity.
As my mother said (who yes she read your comments) "if you are going to comment at least have the guts to put your name to it. anyone can hide, it takes a real person to own up to their thoughts and opinions."
That being said; I am going to end this post with a poem by my fav.
Please enjoy...and remember there are worse things in this world.

Gonna be a nice lazy day
So I know that I haven't been posting lately. You would not want me to have posted any of the thoughts that were running through my head the past week. Not nice stuff. But now that I have found a little inner peace I can enjoy my day off.
I am going to be lazy today, well this is my version of lazy.
I think I am going to spend the day walking around ole town with Les and just hang out.
Nothing major nor taxing to my brain.
I have needed a day like today...it is sunny and mild out not freezing and snowing like last Monday. It is about time that Spring actually showed up...I don't want anymore surprise deep freezes.
I just love walking around in downtown. There are so many cool shops and resturants, it is just a lot of fun.So I am going to leave everyone with a wish for a great day. I love all of my friends and wish that some of them were closer.

Low Carb, yet it's Half n Half?!

Ok so I need to understand this. I had a lady come in the other day and she was all pissed off b/c we didn't have low-carb chai.
Ok..sorry, we can't please everyone. So she tells first off that she is pissed b/c we aren't meeting her dietary needs. (Ok and what about mine, and the person next to you, and the one that'll be after that.) I mean come on YOU are not a VIP.
Anyway, so she tells me that she is going to get a breve latte w/SF vanilla. Ok I guess that makes sense...you wanna do low-carb but you don't care how much fat is in the drink. That makes sense to me, how bout you????
FYI: A Breve is a drink made with half n half.
Does anyone else think that this low-carb diet fad is bad for your health?? I mean yes carbs can be the enemy, but I don't think that it is a "diet" when you are increasing your calorie intake. That seems a little counter-productive to me.
I know this is a strange subject to talk about, but seriously. I am just bothered by these women who bitch about how we don't cater to their diet needs. It's a coffee shop for goodness sake. These are the same women who last month would be getting skim in their latte, but now since they are on this low-carb diet they are getting half n half b/c it has less carbs. Don't just look at the carbs people, look at the calories!!!! If anyone out there can explain this low-carb thing to me, then please do.
Sorry that is my rant...I am sure that you all have noticed that I have these rants occasionally, but they are for valid things.
On another subject...Gabe and I are hoping to descend on the poor people of Muncie in April. That's right, you better watch out. I am coming with my drinking boots on, so Steph you have been warned (I have been drinking at a very high elevation for several years now, that means I am going to drink you under the table!) Now I won't spend all my time drinking, just most of it. It is going to be an event so you better believe that pics will be taken. I have gotten quite fond of taking random pics so watch out!!!
So now that I am rambling...it is time to go.
Peace to all my friends

tHE Birthday Recap
So finally it is here...I have gotten pics on my computer and I am ready for everyone to see them.
So the evening started off with dinner at Carinos. Heather, Megan, and I with Cory joining later.
Now I picked this place, b/c I hadn't eaten there in a long time and also b/c they have fantastic Bellini's. I wouldn't tell the waiter how old I was b/c he wouldn't have beleived me anyway. So we eat, I get to drinking, it is fun.
Next stop is Pitchers..this is where the majority of the pics were taken and where most of my friends started showing up.
I remember having beer, but don't recall how many shots I may have taken........
I know it was a couple, we hung out there for a while.
When Heat and I went out for a ciggy this freakin weird guy was trying to talk to us. He told us he was on Meth (which made me want to run) and then told us how he was using this credit card he found on the street. Let's just say we didn't stay out there that long.
So after Pitchers, we went to Scooters! Now if you have read a couple of my past posts you know my love/hate relationship with this bar. I am the one who wanted to go there, so let's keep that straight.
I have to say the best of the evening was a guy coming up to me and telling all of my friends that they should be paying a $1000 to hang out with me b/c I was so beautiful. I have to give him props for such an original line. Made me laugh, but this is the kind of element you come to expect at Scooters. At least he was close to my age and not some skeev.
Anywho....we got back to my house and Les and I partied a little more and then I passed out. But for the record no PUKING occured. YEAH FOR ME!!!!
Next day; this is the best part of the story b/c it is so random.
So feeling a little under the weather...go to gas station to get some water and I see this vitamin water that says REVIVE on it. Well hell yeah that is what I need.
Drink it and then when Les and I get back she reads the back of the bottle.
I kid you not this is what it says:

"everyone loves going out, downing cocktails
and partying like a b-list celebrity. but, with
the glory comesthe pain-body aches,
cotton mouth and splitting headache the
next morning that would even bring the
might superman to his knees.
with that said, we loaded this product with
b vitamins and potassium to help your body
recover. so now you can party like it's 1999
and still wake up feeling like a million bucks....
$750K if you woke up on the bathroom floor."
I kid you not that is what it says on the back to the bottle. Les and I were cracking up. One of the many reasons why I love vitamin water.
So this is my b-day story, at least as much as I can remember.
Enjoy and next time you are hung over get some Vitamin Water!

Birthday Madness
So be patient with me...I have bought a new camera and still need to install the software. I will have pictures of my birthday up, hopefully later today.
It was a blast, but I will tell you more when I get the pics up and the story really starts to unfold.

Lost in this chaotic world
So I have felt a little like the world is crashing down on me. It has been a little overwhelming these past few days, ok it is more like a week. But there is SUNSHINE at the end of the tunnel. I have finally gotten, for the most part, all the sleep that I have needed...I am sure that I need more but I am functioning so that is a good thing.
Now that my brain is switched back on, and I am not running on auto-pilot; I feel like a real person again. This would be a good thing, at least I think.
So here I am, typing about how crappy my week has been. I don't really think that anyone wants to read this, so I am going to move on to more fun topics.
I am hoping today to buy some wings for my clubbin fun this coming thursday. You heard me right...I said wings. I am going all out and I can't wait. It has been a while since I went out and had more fun than I should. I am hoping that I will remember to take pics..b/c everyone has got to see this. I am not quite sure which club I will be attending....perhaps The Church, but I am currently on the search. Les is coming with me, of course!!! We always go clubbing together, just never seem to take any pics...hmmmmmmmm.
She is currrently in Seattle (lucky bitch) and I wish I was there too. Seattle is the place to be, esp. if you have a friend who is a DJ.
Anywho...these are my tentative plans for the week coming up. They might change, but the clubbin will be there!
In other news...I need everyones help. We need to convice Gabe (my man) to start his own myspace music site. He is a jazz musician and he is currently writing his own music. What better way then to have your own site where people can listen to your stuff. So everyone out there who knows about him and his music, please help me convice him that this is the right thing to do. Everyone should get to hear his beautiful playing. I am not just saying that b/c I am his gf either.
You out there know who you are...I can even give some of you his email address and you can tell him directly that he should do this.
Thank you to all of you in advance.

What the HECK are you doing??
So I have learned many things living in Colorado. For example; Colorado is a red state, Mtns are beautiful but they don't replace the ocean, there isn't always snow, and the drivers here are terrible. Really they are some of the worst drivers I have been around. I can't beleive there aren't more accidents here. I have driven on the east coast and they may be crazy but they know some of the simple rules of driving. For example; you need to speed up when getting on the highway. When the traffic is going 80 mph, 45 just ain't going to cut it. I mean COME ON!!!!!!!!
The best is the fact that no one here seems to understand what a 4 way stop is. It really isn't that hard people. I have been cut off more times at 4 way stop then on the highway.
I know, this seems like a stupid rant, but as a commuter this is a big part of my day. It is always an ordeal getting to and from work.
So please this is a plea to all those drivers out there...look over a driving manual and learn to drive. You will make lives easier all around.
One more thing....this is Colorado...learn to drive in snow, just b/c you drive a big ass truck doesn't mean that you can drive as fast as you can in the snow.
Thank you....I am done now.
Love to all

Is that snow!?

So I hear that snow is headed my way...hmmm I should be happy but that means the commute from hell.
I love snow don't get me wrong, but only when I have a choice whether I go out in it or not. Now for living in Colorado, I sure haven't seen as much snow as I would expect.
In the midwest you get snow a lot, but obviously if you don't live in the mtns here in CO you get none.
Go figure! Now I know that weather people are usually wrong, so lets hope this is true. I know we need to moisture, but damnit let it rain.
Enough of my snow talk...it is boring but I just wanted to mention just a little something about it.
I hope that this day finds everyone well...I am in a strange state but that is not unusual for me.
Since I have little to say today I will leave you with a poem.

Goodness
Ok so there are several reasons why I should not be allowed near a computer when I am drunk and the previous post is a good reason. Plus I tend to email people random messages when I am drunk, almost like drunk-dialing but at least don't wake up anyone.
Ok doke..so after the hiatus I am once again back.
Work just interfers too much, too often.
Well I hope to have some more pics up on my blog soon...this Friday is going to turn out the be a party so I will have some good ones soon.
Other than that...there is nothing interesting going on here, Gabe and I are going to have a nice day off (when he decides to get outta bed).
Wow...there just isn't anything interesting going on here in Fort Fun, that makes me sad.
My whirlwind life has come to a standstill, but that is ok. Japan is coming up next summer and that is going to be like a 2 month party.
I know a little bit more about what I need to do to get the ball rolling on this little trip. I am getting more and more excited...eventhough it isn't until next summer. But it just can't come soon enough.
Here is a shrine that I am planning on going to. This is a shrine in Nikko, there are several other shrines here. I am hoping to be able to walk to grounds around this area. This is not only a vaca to party in Tokyo at some clubs but also to do some soul-searching. I am hoping to find some answers to my life here in Japan. We shall see...there are many places that I want to go...I am hoping to come back with a better sense of myself and my surroundings. I am hoping that I will be able to do this every couple of years, or just move there...who knows.
Well I have been hanging at the coffee shop for about two hours...it is probably time for me to jet.
I wish everyone a great day!

Coffee shop blues

So as I sit here in my fav coffee shop...I realize what a crap hole my job can be sometimes.
So right off I need to apologize to Heather...I love you hon but you gotta understand...I know you do.
I am pondering the search for a new job. Now I am really shy about doing this, I know that I can be quite outgoing but only around people that I know really well.
I am feeling down trodden and just generally pissy.
I love working in a coffee shop and that is what I want to continue to do, I just can't do it in Greeley anymore...just can't.
So the quest begins..should I go corporate or independent. I am thinking I am done with the corporate b.s. that I have to go through. I want the freedom that you can get by working for an independent.
I just watching a girl have an interview here at this coffee shop and she got hired on the spot...that should have been me!!!!!!!!
Well...that's ok..I will find one, and it will be better than what I do now. No Fricking Unforms!
Ok I think that I have some issues, but I am slowly coming to terms with this.
Here is my problem and the reason why I haven't left my job yet; I love my co-workers and I don't want to put them in a hard place b/c no one gets hired after I leave. So what I need from my friends is advice...I know that I will getting a new job the next couple monthes to come but I just need a little encouragement.
The little voice in my head tells me to go for it...get a new job, but I would feel guilty leaving my co-workers. SO there is my biggest dilemma..so please hope Laura make a decision. No holds barred people...I want honest opinions.
Just don't tell me what a dumbass I am...I already know that.
Thanx in advance to all my friends.

Back with a Vengence
So hello to all my peeps out there. I am sorry that I have been away for so long. Had some serious down time, just work and trying to sleep.I hope everyone is doing well at the end of this first month of 2006.
I was just in San Antonio visiting the rents...it was a nice time was way too short. Hope to go visit them again soon.
Nothing much to report here on the home front. We have been experiencing some strange weather here...warm one day then cold the next. Who knows...GLOBAL WARMING it's real!!!!
Anywho...I am about to convince Gabe that we should go bar hopping tonight..it has been a long time since I have been too drunk to know any better. Sounds like a plan to me.
It won't happen but one can dream right ;)
It is going to be time soon for the road trip...have been sitting on my can doing nothing for way too long.
So these are just some random thoughts that are running through my head. I just wanted to let everyone know that I was still out there.
Perhaps something of relevance will be posted on Saturday. (My day off!!!!)
Peace to all my friends...have fun for me.

Tokyo-Summer 2007

So my plan is to be there for the summer of 2007. I would like to spend a month or two there. I have looked into getting a furnished apartment in Shinjuku through the Sakura House. We shall see how that pans out. I am getting more excited about this, even though it is over a year away. This is a big thing for me, oh and if you didn't know...I am going by myself.
Now before I hear all this uproar about a women traveling by herself...I must tell you this. Tokyo is one of the safest cities in the world...I am not worried about myself, I am only worried about possibly getting lonely.
My friend Les has expressed an interest in going with me, but I haven't heard anything about it lately. I would love for her to come.
So Les if you are reading this, start saving then we can split the cost of the apartment ;)
I will be getting my passport next week, that is the first step on this journey of self-discovery. I can let everyone know this now...and since my mom will be reading this, she needs to know as well. This trip is one of two things; a trip that I have been dreaming about, and a possible location to move to. I am prepared for the parental units to call me and object. But I didn't say that I was definately moving there, just scoping it out ;) So there are my reasons of going. That and man do I want to go to some Japanese Clubs!!!!!!!!!Ok, well enough of my trip chit chat.
When I get more info on what's what I will let all y'all know.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful year...be good to yourselves.

That SOB...he did this to me
So if you haven't ever visited me at my home, you wouldn't know about my crazy neighbor. Now, don't get me wrong...I like to have a good time too but this women sometimes takes it a little too far. Let me give you a little background; about three monthes ago my neighbors sister got married. That's a fun event, everyone loves weddings (well for the most part)..well it was an excuse for her and her family to have a three day party, which involved a lot of drinking and a lot of hollerin. That's right hollerin...not yelling this is the redneck variant for shoutin and having a good time. So this sets the scene a little for you. She likes to have a good time.
Ok, so here it goes...I come home from work last night and I am home for about 15 minutes. Gabe comes downstairs and he tells me there is a ambulance, a cop car, and a fire truck right in front of our townhome. I was like.; "What the hell..something must me goin down." Well right when we were trying to figure out what was going on...our neighbor is outside her house screaming. And I mean screaming...I think she might have been drunk.
At least that is what it sounded like. She was screaming about "that sob, he did this to me..." over and over and over again.
Now here is the part that we can't figure out, why was there an ambulance, a cop car, and a fire truck there???
Obviously, the cop needed to be there, she was pretty upset over something. Now I don't know exactly what went on, but I know she really doesn't like this guy that she was shouting about. Gabe and I were a little weirded out so we decided to go out to eat, I just didn't want to be around all that negativity.
So that is my story...I know it isn't very elaborate, but man was it weird. I just hope that everything is ok with my neighbor, I mean I don't want her to be in any trouble or anything.
All I want is to live somewhere where there aren't any crazy people living near me, or with me.
I am done with the unstable females...just pull yourselves together. Please.
Anyway that is that and I am done.

A Sewing I Shall Go
SO for those of you who don't know...I received the best X-mas present in the world. I got a nice sewing machine. I know what you are thinking, you thought I was going to say diamond earrings or something like that...not that those wouldn't be nice.
No this was something that I have been wanting, and Gabe decided to be fabu and buy it for me! Lucky me!!
So bear with me, I will be posting photos (hopefully) of the clothes that I make, they will be plain to start out with, as it has been a long time since I have sewed. I plan on making my own designs at some point.
You think the way I dress is wacky now, just wait...now I have the ultimate freedom!
I have big plans for this little machine...Reupholstering the couch would be one of them. I will keep everyone up to date...I guess if you want to know about this stuff. This is a great gift for many reasons, the main one being this will help me save even more money for my tokyo trip. Oh yes, the jar has been growing bigger as of late.
Check my sidebar to see how much I am at now. I recieved a very cool present that will come in handy when I go overseas. Heather got me the Tokyo Bilingual Street Atlas...very cool!!!!!! I thank you much for this present, it will be put to good use. I have been slowly making my plans...I know it is a little ahead of time, but it is better to be prepared than not. I guess this also comes from my dad...I like to get things done early (sometimes absurdly early). Anyway, my next step is to get my passport...as that is something that I will definately need.
So as I learn my Japanese on audio, I will be sewing all my clothes..hmmm sounds like fun huh?! It is almost a new year, and my new year's resolution is to get the hell outta Dodge..if you catch my drift.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
First off let me saY Happy Holidays to everyone. It is nice to be with friends and family on the happiest day of the year.It is just Gabe and I this year, so that means we can be a little on the lazy side.
We started off with pancakes and bacon and mimosas for breakfast (well lunch really) then we opened our presents. Sounds like an eventful day doesn't it.
We napped and then ate dinner. That is about all that we are doing this x-mas. I had to work yesterday so I was recouping from that adventure...man it was crazy!!!
I hope that this post finds everyone well and everyone was able to relax. Let me give a shout out to my pal Cory, he has to work 2nite..he works in ICU, so lets be thinking of him as he puts in some major holidays hours.

is covered over everywhere
with clouds of concern-
blessing our nation, our soil,
with rain sent from above.
