MySpace Woes

So I have just discovered that myspace is having some serious issues. I was first informed of this by Steph who asked me to check if here page was still there. Well it wasn't, it said that it had been deleted. Hmmmmm.....very strange.
Well while I was on I went to post a blog and then it told me that my page has been deleted.
Now I understand that they are having a huge increase in usage, but they really need to keep up with the flow of people logging on. I really hope that it is just a glitch and that my page hasn't been deleted. I spent a good amount of time working on it and there were some people that I was only able to contact through myspace.
Well let me tell you this...if my page is gone then I will probably not be going back to myspace.
I loved all the people I met through there and all of the old friends that I was able to get back into contact with.
So now that I have written this, I went back and my page was under maintanace. Well it turns out they are doing work on all the pages and that I need to install Flash 9. Now wouldn't you think something as large as myspace would warn their users that they were going to be doing all of this work.

It is really frustrating to be told my page is gone when it really isn't. Ok now that I have said my piece.
I hope that everyone of you who was using myspace was able to get back on.
I am done with my rant...love each and every one of you.

When Life Happens

My posts seem to not be coming as regularly as they used to. I guess I just don't have a lot to say. Or maybe I do and I don't write it down. Whatever the reason it just happens.
As the title suggests; "Life Happens" Right now Gabe and I are convinced that someone is having fun dealing us bad hands. I don't usually like to complain about this kind of stuff on my blog, but I need to get some venting done.
I am to the point now, that if something else goes wrong I am going to seriously break down.
I still have a job which is good....it just seems that everything else around me is going to the dogs.
Maybe it is time to change locales...or I should just go to Japan now. Hmmm...that actually sounds like a good idea.
Well now that I have vented a little I feel better. (well at least a little)
I have been trying to keep good thoughts but sometimes it isn't all that easy.
So to my friends out there if I do seem a little down, no worries.
I love all of you and hope that this will soon pass.

Dude Listen Here

So I am at a local deli getting on the net b/c I can't get on at home anymore. That's crap!
Anyway that is where I have been lately. I know I know I could be getting on at work but I am important now. Or at least that is what I would like to think. I am now a trainer at my job. You see I take espresso drinks very seriously. It is a little weird though, I am the newest person there and I am training people who have been there for like a year or two.
Everyone is cool about it though. Works for me. I love it...makes me feel like I am doing something right.
Sometimes it just takes something as small as being told I make a good drink to make me feel better.
I don't want to toot my own horn, but if you know what I have been doing for the past 5 years then you know that I didn't exactly get encouragement at my old job.
So enough of that...I just wanted to let people who I haven't talked to in a while know what has been going on.

On another note...I would like to mention that it has been fricking hot here in Colorado. I mean I used to this in Arizona but here....no thank you.
I seriously feel like I am melting when I step outside. The ac has been running for 5 days now, and if you know Gabe and I were are a little anit ac. It just costs way too much money. But I can't let my cats lay on the floor like they are dead b/c it is so hot in the house. That is just cruel.
Speaking of them...I don't know Cory my cats have a way of causing trouble from long distances so Beethoven could have run out in front of your car. She is tricky like that. Too smart for her own good.

Well before this turns into a rambler I let everyone go. Please enjoy the rest of your day.

Independence!!!

Here I am at work this morning serving coffee to the one person who has come in. I didn't think that it would be busy this morning but this is a little ridiculous.
Oh well...bbqing and fireworks are imminent. Well as long as it doesn't rain here, which is what it is supposed to do.
In life a little rain must fall.
As the day has progressed so has the traffic in the little coffee shop I work in. Some people come in with a smile on their face, and some people look like they want to rip my head off.
I have to admit I was trying my hardest to be friendly, however.....it is a holiday and I don't appreciate being treated like garbage.
Now that that is over and I am at home...things are looking up. Grilling will be happening soon (I hope) It all depends on when Gabe gets up and then goes to the store. I have been waiting for this day simply b/c it is a great excuse to cook out. Not that I ever needed one in college. My old roomate and I used to cookout on a regular basis (as long as the sun was shining, and even sometimes when it wasn't).
Miss those days.
So today as I spark up the grill...I remember the days on North Street in college. For those of you who knew me in college you know what I mean.
Here's to all my friends old and new (and ones I haven't spoken to in years).

Beer: The Great American Pastime

As we are about to embark on a national holiday, I start to see the police patrol the roads a little more intensly.
Does this seem sad to anyone else...that a holiday means that there will be more drunk people on the road. That you are really taking your life into your own hands when driving at nite this weekend??
Now don't get me wrong...I will be partaking of some beer this weekend. But I just want to encourage everyone out there that either you need to limit the amount you drink, or you need to stay put after the all day bbq aka beer fest has ended.
Friends let drunk friends stay at their house. Be it the floor, a couch, or in some circumstances an actual bed. Please make sure your friends are safe from harming themselves and others.

I really don't want to seem like a major downer...I just feel that more and more people are testing the limits when drunk.
Driving a car while intoxicated is not only dangerous but not easy.
This is a weekend for people to celebrate the independence of this nation, not seeing how drunk we can get.
SO please party hard and have fun but be safe.

On another note...I would like to comment on the Great American Beer Fest!!! I will be there (with bells on) I would love to partake in various different beers and have a great time. I will be taking a DD with me (I am the smart one...I know better than to think that I would be able to drive home after this major event)

These were just some of my wandering thoughts at work. I am sorry if you think my post is strange and somewhat oxymoronic. I like to have fun with my friends but will not take my life and someone elses in my hands and drive drunk. That is all that this post is implying.

Love to all my friends and have a safe weekend

Slow on the Weekends

I am sitting here at work watching the time slowly click by.
I wonder where all the people are and then I look outside and see the sunshine and the cloudless sky and wonder no longer.
Soon I will be able to join all the rest of town in celebrating the wonderful day.
I can't wait to go on my run after work. Hopefully the temperature stays moderate or it is going to be a fun run.
I shall see if I can get Gabe to join me this afternoon. I don't want to run on the treadmill I want to be out and about.
I thought about going to the brewfest that is downtown this weekend, but I think that a lot of people will be there.
As fun as it would be...there will be too many drunk people hanging around and making it hard for everyone else to have a good time.
Sound like a downer huh? Well I have just started to realize the older I get that being completely unaware of what you are doing or saying is not always the way to have fun.
Call my crazy!!!!
I hope that everyone is out there enjoying the day and doing some fun.
I will be soon...in only 3 hours I will be off work and dancing in the sun.

Pressure Cooker

I am starting to freak about this major trip that I am going to take next summer.
I am not like ohmigod I don't wanna do this, more like a WOW I am going to do this.
This will be my first long journey into the unknown. I have to say I am way excited about this. I know that this is going to be something that I continue to do, this is just a starting point.
Now that I have gotten a little bit of that out.
I have been starting to check out websites and looking into what kind of pack I would like to use. I am basically going to be carrying a week and a halfs worth of clothes around for about a month and a half. Seems a little daunting but the adernaline is starting to kick in.
I am starting an exercise program so that I can get into shape for this adventure.
So if I start calling people out of the blue, it is b/c I am getting nervous about all of this.
My mantra is: "This is my dream and I can do it!!"
I need to be saying that to myself for the next year and get geared up for it. I know that I am getting going early, but this is something I need to have a little planning done for. On another note...I would like to give a shout out to my friend Heat who got married this past weekend. Once I find the cord to my camera I will have pictures up here on my blog. I got some really great pics and it was a lovely ceremony and a super fab party. I hope that everyone has as much fun when I get married.
She was a lovely bride...I knew she would be.
So CONGRATS to you and Henrique...Love you both!!!!!

So as I close this out..I everyone to know that they are important to me and are a big part of my life.

Why Do I Keep Goin MIA????

Well to my friends out there, I am sorry that I have been gone so long. About a month now. There just aren't enough hours in the day...seriously. I feel like I have been a busy little bee. I have been working two jobs and I haven't had a day off in over a week. Yes I like to abuse myself by pushing myself to the limits...it is a bad habit I know but hey...I like money ;)
I am hoping to actually enjoy some of my summer...maybe....well we shall see. I will enjoy this weekend..my good friend Heat is getting married. Yes that is right she is joining an exclusive club (I kid cause I love.) I am the last holdout among most of friends...with a coulple of exceptions (you people know who you are)
I am happy for her and am very excited to be able to share in her very special day.
LOVE YOU LOTS HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok now that I have said my kudos there is one more thing to say before I close...I miss you Steph and you should come see me this fall. We could take Mark to really tap the Rockies.
Much love to my Muncie Crew.

Namaste.

BTW It is really freakin hot here...what's that all about?????

Beautiful Sunshine

I know that I have been away and haven't been posting very often.
I have to say a lot of it is b/c I don't really know what to post about sometimes so I just don't.
Well...this maybe another one of those posts..which will surely end in a poem from my fav. But I can give everyone a little update about what's what.
I am no longer a commuter, which will take a lot of stress off my shoulders. Commuting is horrible and I really started to hate it this last year. It was time to say good-bye to working in Greeley. Not that I won't see my friends every once in a while. I mean I love the people I worked with, but we won't get into anything else about it.
I was able to hang out last night with Heat and Les. We had a blast, we went to go hear a live band (which I hadn't done in a long time). I must say it was a successful Ladies Night Out.
It is really all small news from here. The day today was absolutely lovely. Reminded me of why I love living here so much.
Steph you have no idea...I will show you everything if you are able to come out this fall....you won't want to go back to Indiana (hehehehehe)

Anyhow....so I am now finishing this post days later, it is May 25th to be exact.
I have not had the best internet connection lately...so that is going to be my excuse for not posting.
Look for more in the next couple days.

To all my friends....much love.

Who's That Over There?

Oh my gosh I can't believe that it has been that long since I last posted. My goodness where does the time go? Oh yeah sleeping and working...curious how that happens.
Well I am taking a break right now, to post a little something and I am quite excited about having some time to myself.
Gabe just got back from Indiana, which was really nice.
I was a little lonely w/o him here. I know that sounds so girly, but hey I am a girl.
I hope that everyone out there is having a good week so far. Mine is a little less stressful then past ones have been. I just need a vacation, maybe somewhere like Tahiti would be nice right now. Sandy beaches, pina coladas, and sun-bathing. Sounds like the perfect vaca to me.
My week has been progressing nicely. We shall see if it keeps looking up.
I am ready for the dreary days to end...rain and cloudy skies are no fun.

Working to Much=Sleep Deprivation

So I am not ignoring anyone who has called or emailed me recently. I have been more busy than I think I ever have.
I am working all the time now...I mean I am working to very full days tomorrow and Thursday.
So this is an advance apology to all my friends. Oh and this is also I little FYI for the idiot that thinks my life is sad.
Piss off is all I have to say.

Anyway...I hope that everyone out there had a happy Easter. I had to work (of course) and deal with the rude people who are always out on any holiday.
I don't really have a whole lot to say...I just wanted my friends out in the great wide world to know that I am not purposely not talking to them. Sleep is my best friend right now.

Cheers to everyone out there and hopefully I will be back to normal work hours in a week or so.

Steph I miss you and am insanely jealous that Gabe gets to see you and I don't. What the heck!!!!!

Wish I saw Cherry Blossoms

With the coming of spring, my melancholy lifts.
I am not a cold weather girl, I can almost feel the song of my soul lamenting.
I have always enjoyed the first warm days of the year.
They make me feel so alive and joyous.
Today is such a day and what makes if even better is being able to enjoy it by being outside.
I am not right now, but I will be right after this post.
Here is a poem that I read this morning that struck a chord with me.

How many times now
have I crossed over the hill crests

Thank You CrapHeads

So I have been thinking about it, and Gabe is right.
I am not going to give you people what you want. If you do end up posting something negative I will be deleting it, esp. if you don't tag your name on.
I don't want someone bringing my day down b/c that is how they feel better about themselves.
So please in the future at least put a name on your insult on my life or don't post at all. It isn't fair that you can insult me behind the wall of anonymity.
As my mother said (who yes she read your comments) "if you are going to comment at least have the guts to put your name to it. anyone can hide, it takes a real person to own up to their thoughts and opinions."
That being said; I am going to end this post with a poem by my fav.
Please enjoy...and remember there are worse things in this world.

Gonna be a nice lazy day

So I know that I haven't been posting lately. You would not want me to have posted any of the thoughts that were running through my head the past week. Not nice stuff.
But now that I have found a little inner peace I can enjoy my day off.
I am going to be lazy today, well this is my version of lazy.
I think I am going to spend the day walking around ole town with Les and just hang out.
Nothing major nor taxing to my brain.
I have needed a day like today...it is sunny and mild out not freezing and snowing like last Monday. It is about time that Spring actually showed up...I don't want anymore surprise deep freezes. I just love walking around in downtown. There are so many cool shops and resturants, it is just a lot of fun.
So I am going to leave everyone with a wish for a great day. I love all of my friends and wish that some of them were closer.

Low Carb, yet it's Half n Half?!

Ok so I need to understand this. I had a lady come in the other day and she was all pissed off b/c we didn't have low-carb chai.
Ok..sorry, we can't please everyone. So she tells first off that she is pissed b/c we aren't meeting her dietary needs. (Ok and what about mine, and the person next to you, and the one that'll be after that.) I mean come on YOU are not a VIP.
Anyway, so she tells me that she is going to get a breve latte w/SF vanilla. Ok I guess that makes sense...you wanna do low-carb but you don't care how much fat is in the drink. That makes sense to me, how bout you????

FYI: A Breve is a drink made with half n half.

Does anyone else think that this low-carb diet fad is bad for your health?? I mean yes carbs can be the enemy, but I don't think that it is a "diet" when you are increasing your calorie intake. That seems a little counter-productive to me.
I know this is a strange subject to talk about, but seriously. I am just bothered by these women who bitch about how we don't cater to their diet needs. It's a coffee shop for goodness sake. These are the same women who last month would be getting skim in their latte, but now since they are on this low-carb diet they are getting half n half b/c it has less carbs. Don't just look at the carbs people, look at the calories!!!! If anyone out there can explain this low-carb thing to me, then please do.
Sorry that is my rant...I am sure that you all have noticed that I have these rants occasionally, but they are for valid things.

On another subject...Gabe and I are hoping to descend on the poor people of Muncie in April. That's right, you better watch out. I am coming with my drinking boots on, so Steph you have been warned (I have been drinking at a very high elevation for several years now, that means I am going to drink you under the table!) Now I won't spend all my time drinking, just most of it. It is going to be an event so you better believe that pics will be taken. I have gotten quite fond of taking random pics so watch out!!!
So now that I am rambling...it is time to go.
Peace to all my friends

tHE Birthday Recap

So finally it is here...I have gotten pics on my computer and I am ready for everyone to see them.
So the evening started off with dinner at Carinos. Heather, Megan, and I with Cory joining later.
Now I picked this place, b/c I hadn't eaten there in a long time and also b/c they have fantastic Bellini's. I wouldn't tell the waiter how old I was b/c he wouldn't have beleived me anyway. So we eat, I get to drinking, it is fun.
Next stop is Pitchers..this is where the majority of the pics were taken and where most of my friends started showing up.
I remember having beer, but don't recall how many shots I may have taken........
I know it was a couple, we hung out there for a while.
When Heat and I went out for a ciggy this freakin weird guy was trying to talk to us. He told us he was on Meth (which made me want to run) and then told us how he was using this credit card he found on the street. Let's just say we didn't stay out there that long.
So after Pitchers, we went to Scooters! Now if you have read a couple of my past posts you know my love/hate relationship with this bar. I am the one who wanted to go there, so let's keep that straight.
I have to say the best of the evening was a guy coming up to me and telling all of my friends that they should be paying a $1000 to hang out with me b/c I was so beautiful. I have to give him props for such an original line. Made me laugh, but this is the kind of element you come to expect at Scooters. At least he was close to my age and not some skeev.
Anywho....we got back to my house and Les and I partied a little more and then I passed out. But for the record no PUKING occured. YEAH FOR ME!!!!
Next day; this is the best part of the story b/c it is so random.
So feeling a little under the weather...go to gas station to get some water and I see this vitamin water that says REVIVE on it. Well hell yeah that is what I need.
Drink it and then when Les and I get back she reads the back of the bottle.
I kid you not this is what it says:

"everyone loves going out, downing cocktails
and partying like a b-list celebrity. but, with
the glory comesthe pain-body aches,
cotton mouth and splitting headache the
next morning that would even bring the
might superman to his knees.

with that said, we loaded this product with
b vitamins and potassium to help your body
recover. so now you can party like it's 1999
and still wake up feeling like a million bucks....
$750K if you woke up on the bathroom floor."

I kid you not that is what it says on the back to the bottle. Les and I were cracking up. One of the many reasons why I love vitamin water.
So this is my b-day story, at least as much as I can remember.
Enjoy and next time you are hung over get some Vitamin Water!

Birthday Madness

So be patient with me...I have bought a new camera and still need to install the software. I will have pictures of my birthday up, hopefully later today.
It was a blast, but I will tell you more when I get the pics up and the story really starts to unfold.

Lost in this chaotic world

So I have felt a little like the world is crashing down on me. It has been a little overwhelming these past few days, ok it is more like a week. But there is SUNSHINE at the end of the tunnel. I have finally gotten, for the most part, all the sleep that I have needed...I am sure that I need more but I am functioning so that is a good thing.
Now that my brain is switched back on, and I am not running on auto-pilot; I feel like a real person again. This would be a good thing, at least I think.
So here I am, typing about how crappy my week has been. I don't really think that anyone wants to read this, so I am going to move on to more fun topics.

I am hoping today to buy some wings for my clubbin fun this coming thursday. You heard me right...I said wings. I am going all out and I can't wait. It has been a while since I went out and had more fun than I should. I am hoping that I will remember to take pics..b/c everyone has got to see this. I am not quite sure which club I will be attending....perhaps The Church, but I am currently on the search. Les is coming with me, of course!!! We always go clubbing together, just never seem to take any pics...hmmmmmmmm.
She is currrently in Seattle (lucky bitch) and I wish I was there too. Seattle is the place to be, esp. if you have a friend who is a DJ.
Anywho...these are my tentative plans for the week coming up. They might change, but the clubbin will be there!

In other news...I need everyones help. We need to convice Gabe (my man) to start his own myspace music site. He is a jazz musician and he is currently writing his own music. What better way then to have your own site where people can listen to your stuff. So everyone out there who knows about him and his music, please help me convice him that this is the right thing to do. Everyone should get to hear his beautiful playing. I am not just saying that b/c I am his gf either. You out there know who you are...I can even give some of you his email address and you can tell him directly that he should do this.
Thank you to all of you in advance.

What the HECK are you doing??

So I have learned many things living in Colorado. For example; Colorado is a red state, Mtns are beautiful but they don't replace the ocean, there isn't always snow, and the drivers here are terrible. Really they are some of the worst drivers I have been around. I can't beleive there aren't more accidents here. I have driven on the east coast and they may be crazy but they know some of the simple rules of driving. For example; you need to speed up when getting on the highway. When the traffic is going 80 mph, 45 just ain't going to cut it. I mean COME ON!!!!!!!!
The best is the fact that no one here seems to understand what a 4 way stop is. It really isn't that hard people. I have been cut off more times at 4 way stop then on the highway.
I know, this seems like a stupid rant, but as a commuter this is a big part of my day. It is always an ordeal getting to and from work.
So please this is a plea to all those drivers out there...look over a driving manual and learn to drive. You will make lives easier all around.
One more thing....this is Colorado...learn to drive in snow, just b/c you drive a big ass truck doesn't mean that you can drive as fast as you can in the snow.

Thank you....I am done now.

Love to all

Tuesday, February 14

Is that snow!?

So I hear that snow is headed my way...hmmm I should be happy but that means the commute from hell.
I love snow don't get me wrong, but only when I have a choice whether I go out in it or not. Now for living in Colorado, I sure haven't seen as much snow as I would expect.
In the midwest you get snow a lot, but obviously if you don't live in the mtns here in CO you get none.
Go figure! Now I know that weather people are usually wrong, so lets hope this is true. I know we need to moisture, but damnit let it rain.
Enough of my snow talk...it is boring but I just wanted to mention just a little something about it.
I hope that this day finds everyone well...I am in a strange state but that is not unusual for me.
Since I have little to say today I will leave you with a poem.
